Cookie Policy

We use cookies to make our site easier and more intuitive. The data collected thanks to cookies are used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and more efficient in the future.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored to be then re-transmitted to the site on the next visit by the same user. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive or transmit computer viruses or acquire e-mail addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some of the cookie functions can be delegated to other technologies. In this document the term “cookies” refers to both cookies, properly so called, and all similar technologies.

Types of cookies

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, different categories can be distinguished: Technical cookiesTechnical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or as strictly necessary for the supplier of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service “(see article 122, paragraph 1 of the Code). They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or website manager.

They can be divided into:

  • browsing or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); they are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the site;
  • analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the site’s performance;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same. For the installation of these cookies, the prior consent of the user is not required (more information in the paragraph on cookie management below).

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user in the context of web browsing. In the case of third-party cookies, such as those of social networks (Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Youtube …) the site does not have direct control of individual cookies and cannot control them (it cannot either directly install or delete them). You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below). The user is therefore invited to check on the website of the third party.

“Third party” cookies

By visiting this website you may receive cookies from sites managed by other organizations (“third parties”). An example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn, or display systems for embedded multimedia content (integrated) such as Youtube, Flikr. These are parts generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the website of the visited host site. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of the information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information that you should refer to.

It is possible to deny consent to the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser: the unauthenticated navigation on this site will still be available in all its features. Below we provide links that explain how to disable cookies for the most popular browsers:
